U.S.L Red Star were originally formed as Red Star
Luton in July 2007. The Club was formed when former Windsor Castle
players Dean Ashton, David Mitchell and Matt Brunton decided to
build a side. The side was made up of a mix of old Windsor Castle
players, Friends and colleagues. The club competed in the Luton
Sunday League and were captained by Kabir Daved and managed by
James McLoughlin until February 2008 before Ashton & Mitchell
took over. The team managed a respectable 5th Place finish in
their 1st season.
In 2008-09 Red Star went on to more success. Dean
Ashton took over as Manager and appointed Matt Brunton as Captain
and David Mitchell as Assistant Manager. The side played some
fantastic football as they captured the Luton Sunday League Title
scoring 140 goals along the way.
In June 2009 the club officially joined the U.S.L
Family and is now looking forward to more success
